On the hottest day in LA history I wrote 4 original holiday carols. Santa's joy manifested itself on Sept 27 amazing me and my wifey, Natasha, when she got home. The holiday energy has kept flowing with lyrics popping up on every puppy poop walk. Inspiration has it's own timetable.
It was clear in a short time a holiday album was in the works. It's a moment in time that's resulted in 10 original holiday carols that will be joined by 2 timeless classics, Jingle Bells and Silent Night.
I'm asking you to help me fund this project so that I can press genuine, real cd's that will be treasured forever - and not just by me :-) These are songs of joy and love. There's no trace of modern sarcasm. It's the polar (polar - get it?) opposite of the David Letterman show. It's more like if Burl Ives grew up playing the electric guitar.
$2,500 is my goal. Pressing costs about $1600. So, if the campaign ends up a little short I can 'top it off" to enable the pressing. Money above that amount will go toward mailings and materials. If funding exceeds the goal I'll humbly thank you and bask in the holiday glow. My dream is to turn this year's cd into next year's musical.
I'm a songwriter and producer of songs for tv and film so I'm not paying extra costs for recording. the equipment is already in place and sounding great as I round the corner to a finished album any snowman can relate to. I'll be posting songs for streaming as they get finished so you can hear what's cooking in Santa's musical oven.
