I hold a MS in Environmental and Forest Sciences from the University of Washington. My research has focused on governance, science communication, mediated flows of information, cognitive psychology, and international relations. For my thesis I analyzed contextual patterns that emerged from news coverage of global climate change during 2007-2009 (IPCC NobelPP + 2008 election + Climategate). Previously, I served as an AmeriCorps member directing a community preparedness education program with the American Red Cross Santa Barbara County Chapter. I have interned with numerous environmental outreach organizations and, most notably, with Seattle's National Public Radio (NPR) news and information station. I am currently a freelance editor and strategic advisor. I emphasize the power of comedy and social collaboration.
