Yellow Means Infection! is the new album by North Carolina born singer/songwriter Jefrey Siler. It's a piece of work the songwriter felt was worth sacrificing to make. He sold his only electric guitar, a 1978 Gretch, to pay for one day in the studio to record the drums. He cleaned to gutters of another studio owners home just to record a 2nd day. The rest he did at his home, before work, after work, and on weekends over the last 2+ years. He wrote 24 songs and whittled them down to the ones he felt most honestly conveyed where he's coming from whcih, more often than not, was an all you can eat buffet.
Yellow Means Infection! showcases both his eccentric southern sense of humour and his knack for a poetic turn of phrase. This debut is an entertaining and intimate introduction to what he calls his “Art*A*Billy Sound!” Inspired by both a traditional sense of storytelling and a childlike curiosity, his songs take on an almost cinematic feel that suck you in like a witty ex-girlfriend.
