Hi!
We're Kelly and the Ruths, a Philly local folk/indie band and we are so close to finishing our album! We went to a cabin at Little Buffalo State Park in Newport, PA and recorded it in 5 days. We ate lots of s'mores and worked really hard. It was a lot of fun and we're extremely proud of the product and can't wait for you to be able to enjoy it!
Recording in the woods instead of a professional studio cut our recording cost immensely, but more than the recording process itself goes into the making of an album and that's where you come in!!
When you donate you'll be contributing to:
1. Mixing - helping pay our sound engineer, Josh, for the many, very long hours of hard work he put into the editing of the songs! And because we love him!
2. Mastering - helping pay our mastering man, Mark, for all the audio post-production he does with the album while preparing it for duplication!
3. Duplication - helping support local artists Justin, Jeffy and Ryan for their wonderful album art! Jon for his great music video! And helping us make many copies of the album that we can give to you and all your friends!
If our project fuels over $1,200 that's great, because we actually need $1,400! If we get over $1,400, we'll use the extra to make sure we put on a banging CD release party and tour for all of you with proper press and promotion!
