My Yoga
I teach yoga. My yoga is about motivating people to focus their intentions on their mind, body, and ultimately, their soul. My hope is that I am guiding students toward being better and happier human beings.
The yoga I teach is choreography, poetry, and music mixed with passion, love, hope, and healing. My yoga includes stretching and exercise, but is not limited to those activities. Although my yoga encourages spirituality, it is not solely for those of a particular religion.
I have taught at over 50 locations in the Dallas area, providing up to 6 classes a day. I sometimes have over 100 students in one class. I have been able to help a great many students accomplish more in their lives, but I feel like I could do much, much more.
My Dream
I love what I do and I am very pleased to be able to help so many people, but because others own and control the fitness centers and studios where I teach, my teaching style is limited. Oftentimes there are elements that I am forced to leave out of classes, even if students request them.
A yoga studio of my own will allow me to teach yoga without compromise, according to my unique philosophy. I will be more effective and able to help more students as a result.
My Needs
My studio will be self-sufficient once built, but I have no upfront money to cover start-up expenses such as having a space appropriately remodeled. If I accept a business partner, I lose some control over the studio. Economic conditions make it difficult to qualify for a business loan, and repayment would require that I charge students higher fees.
RocketHub is not an investment or charity. It is an exchange: funds from fans for rewards from me. It's an all and more mechanism: if I don't reach my financial goal, I get to keep what I raise. But if I do reach my goal, I get access to exciting opportunities!
