Emily and I (Jessica) wanted to share a little about the "why?" of Seraphina Plus...ENJOY!

Seraphina Plus was envisioned by both Emily Stirtzinger and I (Jessica Van Nispen), when we interned under a popular Montreal bridal salon during our second year in fashion marketing school. We interned at the salon for five months, and during that time were completely dismayed with the options that were available for the plus size brides. There were not many options for brides to choose from, and no samples were above a size 26! Most brides were shoved into a teeny corner of the salon, or told to choose from a catalogue to pick their gown...without even trying it on!
For our final project in our last year of school, our brainchild of Seraphina Plus came alive- a wedding gown playground for plus size brides where they can feel accepted, beautiful and get the full bridal gown shopping experience - no matter their size.
Post-graduation, we feel its time to make our concept into a reality and that is why we are asking for you all to fuel our unique business!
We intend to open up our doors in September 2012 and will utilize the money raised from RocketHub for business start-up costs, acquiring inventory, marketing and public relations, and all other necessary costs involved with starting Seraphina Plus!
If our project fuels over 100%, the more, the better! A bridal salon recquires a large financial investment, with our goal just being the tip of the ice-berg, so all extra funding will go to making our store be the best it can be for our plus-size brides.
