It's time to make some music!
I am currently seeking contributors to help make my dream of a solo album come true. With the help of my producing team at Intrepid Talent Management and Shkboom records I am putting together my debut CD recording. The album will star me, Lisa Howard, Broadway actress and concert artist and will feature the music of Tony Award winning composer William Finn. For years, I have been asked by fans and industry folks if I have a CD they could buy and I cringe every time I say, “Not Yet, I’m working on it!”. Well finally, after many years of work, I have put together a thrilling compilation of works by William Finn. Some of which will be well known to his fans and others that people have not yet had the pleasure of hearing. I have chosen to make this album a tribute to Mr. Finn’s work because his music represents my start as a part of the Broadway community, having starred as Rona Lisa Peretti in Finn’s The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. This CD will give the lovers of his music and of musical theater something fresh and wonderful to listen to.
The funds raised will be used to pay for orchestrations, musicians, studio costs, marketing and producing fees. Of course, this CD will cost much more than $5000 to make, but this will be a great jumping off point. If we happen to make more than our initial goal that would be fantastic! We'll be that much closer to making this dream a reality.
