EDEN is an exciting full-length play by award-winning playwright Hope McIntyre. It will employ the talents of a large number of professional artists from various disciplines and cultural backgrounds. In particular it incorporates video, dance and requires the participation of Aboriginal artists. At the helm will be director Sharon Bajer, celebrated actor and playwright who just returned from two seasons at the Stratford Festival in the  Michael Langham Workshop for Classical Direction.

The response to our workshop of the play and public workshop presentations in February/March 2009 proved to us that EDEN is a meaningful and important work. At the core of the play is an examination of truth and justice. Set in a futuristic world the play follows several characters as we see two sides of a government regime set up to protect the people. It will provoke an important discussion around the issues of human rights in our current global
community.

In this script, there is a multi-layered story that will challenge the audience by portraying the different perspectives of a community and thereby forcing society to determine a definition for a government… blend of past and future is a balance that would challenge the values and attitudes of both traditional and potential impending philosophies while addressing birthrights and the heritage of all people.

Due to the huge technical demands and the large cast of eight actors, plus a professional design team, dancer and musician, we need to raise extra funds to be able to fully realize the vision of the piece and offer it to a wide array of audiences, including those who might not be able to afford the full ticket price.

Donations from companies or individuals who support the show are eligible for a charitable receipt due to our status as a registered charity.

For our fans checking out RocketHub for the first time, it is essentially an ‘All & More’ funding mechanism. If we don't reach our financial goal we get to keep what we raise. But if we do reach our goal, we get access to exciting opportunities.

We need your support! Every penny helps to get this important new work on the stage and provide an amazing artistic opportunity for the artist as well as audiences. It is also a chance to support the exploration of justice and human rights in the complex global world where fear and power often dominate. A truly relevant production for contemporary times and one that will inspire important dialogue!

Should we exceed our fundraising goal, this will ensure that we can offer an opportunity for youth who cannot afford the ticket price to attend a special viewing.

Please become a part of EDEN’s success by making a contribution toward this world premiere!
