Introduction invitation to fund our project

Aloha and thank you for viewing our Rockethub page! We’re about to embark on a trail-blazing journey, and we’re going to need you all to come with us!
As you may know, Ransom Kong is completely independent. We are our own record label and publishing company. So from the start to its completion, we call upon you, our fans, friends, and next of kin for as much support as possible to help fuel this project and help it succeed to its fullest potential. Your financial contributions will help pay for the creation of this album.
Words are inadequate to explain how invaluable it is for us to express ourselves through our art form! We are excited about our 12 song debut digital and vinyl LP, which we want to release in early February, 2012. We worked hard on crafting and recording our songs.
This album is a journey through the temporal and spiritual. It sings of the funny testosterone filled hormonal teen years, to the sensual, the struggle to re-prove oneself, and to the longing for true love. It’s leaving the despair of the earth and what is needed to transition to the heavens. It speaks of the powers that be against us, the battle to overcome, and the attainment of peace. This is accomplished with strong melodies, lyrics, and instrumentation. Most of all, it is given with our souls to make it a unified whole.
You’re investment will be used to remaster our existing masters, which will cost about $1200. Recording, mixing, and mastering is just part of the process. We will need to send the audio files to a mastering corporation to ‘boost’ the signals to the files so the digital and vinyl album sounds great on the radio, personal devices, and car and home stereos. Some ‘fuel’ will be used to produce vinyl albums as well advertising of our project. Whenever possible, we will utilize partners that produce things with a green footprint!
If you can’t help financially, other ways to fuel our project are reposting links of our Rockethub account on your facebook profile or email the link to anyone you know. The more people that hear about the project and see it for themselves, the more fuel for our rocket!
As a reminder, RocketHub is not an investment or charity. It is an exchange: funds from you, fuelers, for rewards from the band. BTW, this is an "All & More" funding mechanism: if we don't reach our financial goal, we don’t get to keep what we raise and you get your money back.
If we exceed the goal, it will go towards future touring expenses, equipment, production of more albums or CDs, a great album release party/concert, advertise the album (via Facebook ads), etc. It’s all up to you!
