2012 Summer Arts Champion Campaign

The Layman Group is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service organization. Contributions for the purposes of The Layman Group must be made payable to Fractured Atlas and are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Too often, the Arts are held as non-essential, secondary, and unbeneficial within society. This rings even more true for southern communities in comparison to other parts of the country.

The Layman Group's goal with the 2012 Summer Arts Champion Campaign, is to combine our creativity with a community relations based approach in hopes of instilling long lasting, inspirational artistic experiences within communities throughout the state of Alabama.

Through our efforts we hope to "champion" a growing movement of Arts advocacy, creative influence, and cultural appreciation.

FUNDS raised for this campaign will go towards staging dynamice community based productions, projects, open discussions, exhibits, school visits and workshops throughout the state.

FUNDS raised over our targeted goal with either go towards compensated additional artists, designers, and teachers working on the campaign, or to stabilize general operating costs of our organization.
