A project about individuals empowering individuals.
iDrafted.com is a vision of change amplified through social media. Imagine a world where you can join forces with like-minded individuals on virtually any project (politics, education, music and the arts, social events, etc.).
How it works:
- iDrafted will use an "in-from-ation" approach - information will be gathered from members directly, from their ratings/activity and from their interactions with others.
- You will automatically build a web of your personal likes and dislikes and provide a means of uniting you with like minded individuals.
- Privacy is the key to success therefore the links to common projects will be one-way (anonymous except to the extent that you allow).
- This project needs correct personal information to work. This means that it can't be an advertising-funded site or an open source project. The conflict of interest would be extremely dangerous (and creepy).
Vision of a better tomorrow:
Political Reform
- Independent candidates being elected much more frequently (real-time support levels could be monitored to prove that the independent has a substantial chance of victory - dispels the "don't waste your vote argument).
- Support for future leaders. Recognize and recruit potential candidates for public service.
- In depth crowdsourced solutions for current issues.
- Factual reviews of pending and past legislation.
- Much easier direct individual involvement in politics at all levels of government (Federal, State and Local).
- Effective protest events and movements organized by concerned individuals.
- Simplify coalition formation (pre-election for candidates and post-election for change).
- Movement away from a rigid two-party system with more independent candidates, easier new party formation and support, and more direct individual participation.
Social Reform
- Crowdsourced recognition of current issues with real solutions and the ability to form effective groups to implement change.
Personal Reform
- A rally point for communication and the organization of your activities.
The idea of making the world a better place has just become much less vague. If this project is successful, we will be able to magnify our personal "small steps for mankind" into marches for change. On the political front, it will lay a foundation for rapid organization and growth of new movements and parties - a grassroots revolution.
This is a social experiment that requires individuals to step away from the mass (internet community) to support the power of the mass (a few thousand people "buying" a T-shirt for $20 will fund this project). The reason this project is necessary is that it is difficult to organize like-minded individuals around projects that promote the greater good; the mass oftens recognizes needed reforms but moves on too swiftly to effect real change.
The project founder is also a full-time caregiver for his mother who has Dementia so it will take support from people like you to make this idea a reality. Every dollar raised helps but what we really need is your help promoting the project. Spread the word...
