I am an archaeologist and a dreamer, a bit of an idealist, some might say, but I believe in trying as best as I can to get things done. If this means doing the virtually impossible, then so be it; at least I tried.
I am a professional archaeologist who recently started a new consulting company in the heart of oil and gas country, in Calgary, Alberta. I spent the earlier part of my life trying to ignore the fact that I earned an economics degree, instead living (l-i-v-i-n) in various parts of the world trying to find myself. I taught English in Japan, worked as a ticket-seller in Whistler, BC, worked as a curatorial assistant in the Historic Town of Barkerville, and sold snowboard accessories before I made a full commitment to archaeology. I earned my Masters degree in archaeology at the University of Durham and participated in projects in Austria, Italy, Hungary, Armenia and England before fate brought me back home to Canada, so that I can take allllll those experiences and make them complement one another.
And now, I'm more than a dreamer; I'm a doer, or perhaps a tryer... and we're trying to make something happen here for SVG. I'm passionate about archaeology and about spreading the word, not only about archaeology, but about the impact that one person (with their network of family of friends) can make. One person can make a difference. Can you?
