Astoria Music Now! is a music and arts festival held every July in Astoria Park.
With three stages showcasing over 50 local musicians and artists performing original work, it is the only event of its kind in Queens.
The first stage will mainly showcase theater and dance troupes, the second stage - solo and smaller acts, and the third stage will be our main stage showcasing the headlining act as well as other rock, fusion, hip-hop, funk and blues bands based in Queens. Finally, we will again this year set aside a substantial amount of space for local artists to showcase static (non-performative) and dynamic (interactive) pieces throughout the festival grounds.
Astoria Music Now! gives Queens residents a rare opportunity to participate in a large-scale cultural event that is only a short train, car or bus ride away. We have seen this event (as well as countless others staged on a monthly and semi-monthly basis by Astoria Music & Arts) attract more and more members of the community as awareness of our organization builds, and word spreads of the rich talent that Queens has to offer.
