"The Artist" Collective is a Philanthropic Artistic Movement that I've been working on for a few years. Its a network of Artists of all different genres (Music, Poetry, Photography, Etc.) coming together as One in order to both live out our art, as well as do our part in helping out our collective communities. I hope that one day "The Artist" will reach far enough that our collective communities will include the entire World. The Collective will include various projects and ventures but I plan to start with 3 main projects and hope to branch out from there. 

The First is a Clothing line.

Pegao (Funding needed To Start: $2,500)

Pegao Mission Statement: 

Pegao is the bottom of the rice pot.  The dark grains saturated with flavor yet often discarded. That is what we represent. The bottom. We are Soulful Trendsetters that have been birthed from Struggle... Pegao represents the everyday Man and Woman. Those who are over worked and under paid, under privileged and under appreciated.  In a World where we are often ignored we are able to take a stand through Art & Fashion, creating a platform for the often overlooked.  The Bottom shall be Top. Pegao.

In addition to our standard designs, each month Pegao release designs specifically supporting a cause (Cancer Awareness, AIDS Awareness, LGBT Rights, Etc,) and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to an organization supporting that cause.

I've uploaded 3 of our first designs for the clothing line to give our supporters an idea of what a few of the shirts will look like. 

The 2nd Project is a musical Project 

"Vintage Soul" (Funding Needed to Complete:$5,000) - Vintage Soul is my latest Solo project which will include features from various artists in The Artist Collective. The Album will be a mix of Soul, Blues, Hip-Hop & Classical Influences. Since I've started writing, and recording music & poetry I've been looking for MY sound. I've finally found it and it will be expressed through the album Vintage Soul. I've uploaded a song from my last album "Nerd at the Cool Table" to give my supporters an idea of what the next album will sound like. The 3rd project is an internet web series aimed at spotlighting independent artists of all genres. The show is titled "Anatomy of an Artist"

Anatomy of an Artist (Funding Needed To Start: $2500) 

The reason I’ve created this show is because as an artist, I view life as art.  A blank canvas in which every moment lived is a stroke of the brush. I live my whole life in hope to complete the canvas… the end product is my legacy as an artist… everything I worked towards, my purpose, my message… that’s what’s left behind.  If that message isn’t properly conveyed then what was the point of it all?

Have you ever had an important conversation or debate with someone, you explain all the necessary points, or so you think… then you walk away and remember something you really should have said...most times you can always revisit that conversation and say what you should have said… but imagine the conversation represents your life… And you leaving the conversation is a representation of the transition we make after life…  This “conversation” called life is especially important for an artist because there’s no coming back to explain an important point or lesson you meant to teach or the meaning and motivation behind a certain work of art… its all left to interpretation. The purpose of this project is to showcase various artists of different genres… poets, musicians, visual artists… giving you an in depth look at those individuals...  $10,000 is what I need to start these 3 projects. Any aditional funds raised will be used towards The Collective, Our Website, Events and such.
