To all Music Lovers, Music Makers, Friends, Family, Muses, Dreamers, Believers, and all around Cool Kats...
I am recording my 1st fully produced ALBUM! (And oh my loooord am I stoked!)
In case you don't know me all that well, I'm Tracy Thorne. I write songs, sing them and play 'em on my guitar... It's what I do, it's what I love, and the time has come to finallly make an album!
I want to live in your ipods...spin around in your cd players...pop up on your PANDORA... essentially, I need a fully polished, fully produced record that I can send out to you and to the Universe.
(You): Yes, but Tracy, will this CD be off the hook?
Funny you should ask. I was just about to say "This CD will be off the hook!" as in an amazing, kick arse, inspired, polished, big piece of my heart n' soul wrapped up in a shiny little package called an album. Will Hensley will be producing and engineering the album- he's worked with John Mayer, Regina Spektor and Coldplay, to name a few! Woo!!! I am in good hands which means you will be too.
(You): So where do I fit in?
The break-down: Rocket Hub is a crowd-funding site. When you contribute money, you get a reward. The rewards are things like a signed copy of the cd, VIP passes to the big CD release show, a concert in your home and even embarrassing footage of me tap dancing, yes- tap dancing... and much more!
(YOU): Where does all this dough go?
The $ will be used to pay for studio time, mastering/mixing/engineering, musicians, cd printing/distribution, and to make it look, ya know... all purrrrrty-like! It's not cheap... I want to do 7 songs with the best quality production. The money raised will be combined with my own dough to make this happen!
And if we surpass the $5000 goal? That means more songs on the album... I'll be taking a vote with all who donated to decide of of the bonus tracks!
