In the last few years, we've had friends & family members suggest that we should record a Christmas CD. We didn't really take it seriously .. until this year.
For some reason, it just felt like the right time. The more we thought about it, the more excited we got about being able to record some of these songs.
We know how crazy & hectic the Christmas season can be sometimes ... so we've decided to record an acoustic album that will hopefully give people an opportunity to step back & reflect on why we celebrate Christmas.
Our vision is to try to record an album that sounds like you’re hanging out in our living room. So musically, it’ll be mostly acoustic instruments (guitar, mandolin, piano, banjo).
Of course, we have some other fun songs lined up .. and we're also really excited to have some special guests joining us on a couple songs: Joel Auge & Brian Doerksen!
We've already started recording .. but here's the fun part: You guys get to be a part of helping us finish the record!
The funds we raise through RocketHub will be spent on the following:
WE'D LOVE YOUR HELP! The window for selling Christmas music (& touring) is pretty small .. but with RocketHub, we get to offer fun rewards & incentives when you pre-order the album. It's a great way to get some cool things, plus it helps us pay for the CD! Be sure to check out the entire list of rewards. Donations can be as little as $1!
We're trying to raise $5000 in 45 days - however, the cost of the album will exceed that, so any additional funds will be put towards the cost of recording, and will help us budget/plan appropriately for mastering, graphic design, touring, radio promo, etc. So every little bit helps!
Please help us also by spreading the word - email, Facebook, Twitter, and anything else you can think of. Everyone who pledges money will be included in the recording process, through regular updates and samples.
