Lisa and Michal have a vision; to change the way mediation is incorporated into people’s everyday lives. By offering free conflict resolution skills workshops in public spaces throughout Brooklyn we hope to empower our community.
Conflict can be exhausting and draining. We believe in the power of communication to repair and transform broken relationships. Often, people want to resolve conflict with their families, friends, and colleagues, but are stuck in patterns that allow conflict to persist. Brooklyn Mediates believes that conflict resolution can have a positive impact on people’s lives.
We invite you to help us build bridges in the borough by coming to our launch party on Thursday, September 22nd at the Breukelen Cafe in Crown Heights 764A Franklin Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11238 from 7-9PM.
We plan to use the funds that you contribute to help us organize our free workshops and to work on our first pro bono community case! The case involves a divided community in crisis. Dealing with rising tensions among community members, this community has turned to us for support.
