Ahoy, mateys!
The Pirate Stanley Show project is aimed at creating a funny web-based series for children and grown-ups using the talents of Atlanta based puppeteers, artists and filmmakers. The show will follow the advenutes of Pirate Stanley and his housemates and neighbors, who include Squiddles the Squid, Lexi the Mermaid Masthead, and Sally Seagull.
Project creator, David Stephens has been a professional puppeteer and puppet builder for over a decade with his company, All Hands Productions. Based in Atlanta, GA, he will be drawing from his many talented friends and colleagues to help bring the world of Pirate Stanley to life.
Fueling this project will allow puppets, sets, props and costumes to be created. Funds will also be used for various aspects of production cost. Hopefully, if we go over our intended goal, David can buy lunch for everyone during the shoot! Seriously, if we exceed our goal of $5,000, we'd like to produce more episodes of "The Pirate Stanley Show!"
For those of you who might be unfamiliar with Rockethub, this is a site for raising fan funds in exchange for rewards from the project. We are offering some exciting rewards including stickers, T-shirts and even the opportunity to web-chat with the star of our show, Pirate Stanley.
Help us raise the anchor and set a course for "The Pirate Stanley Show!"
