This past year has been good to us and we couldn't have done it without you are fans!  It was an amazing experience to see the response to our music with the release of our debut EP last winter. That enthusiasm opened a lot of doors for us including opening slots for Irish phenoms Two Door Cinema club and the legendary Wang Chung. Now we're back in the studio writing and recording our next release and could use your continued support.

Our bio:

Like a musical Voltron, the members of Hello Morning established their musical identities early on in groups such as (Grammy-nominees) Smalltown Poets, Jonah, Boy Eats Drum Machine, Sappo, and Chris Robley & The Fear of Heights. These individual creative forces have come together as one to form Hello Morning – a monstrous band united by a common passion for creating big, epic rock songs.

Born amidst Portland's famously bourgeoning indie music culture, Hello Morning is happy to bring a new sound into the scene. While the Northwest is overflowing with plenty of folk, experimental, electro-pop, and other brilliant artists, Hello Morning has developed a big, fresh sound, complete with big drums, cascading guitars and anthemic choruses.

Their debut EP is something more akin to stadium rockers Muse, Starsailor, and Longwave… and at times, maybe a little closer to the aesthetics of Phoenix, Interpol, and even Keane on steroids. Recorded at Secret Society and mixed by Jeff Stuart Saltzman (Death Cab For Cutie, Menomena, Decemberists, Sleater-Kinney, Dolorean), Hello Morning’s self-titled EP is being released on Timber Carnival Records and is the first of several releases the band has planned for 2010.

The reviews for the first CD are rather glowing:

"A rather wonderful pop/rock ethic which I think is fresh as hell" - WOXY Radio

"The band has a keen sense of musical brilliance as well as an undeniable knack for producing avant-garde compositions... This is virtuosity at its best." - Urb.com

“I’m willing to bet the band will at least get a head bob out of even some of the most cross-armed hipsters.” – Seattle PI

"With pitch-perfect dual-guitar interplay and powerful vocals... the band does everything well" - Willamette Week

"Brawny, accessible rock with epic flourishes, like a pre-ironic U2 or a more down-to-earth the Secret Machines." - Portland Mercury
