Awareness Games for Kids CD

Hello parents, teachers, daycare owners, principals, aunts, uncles and grandparents!

Are you looking for an audio CD that focuses on children’s creativity? A CD that is designed to encourage creative thought, to foster the development of ideas and problem solving skills?

My project’s goal is exactly this... to create a CD for kids that encourages them to be the next generation of creative thinkers, problems solvers and amazing human beings!

A Little About Me
I am an actor, yoga instructor, musician and meditation teacher who has worked with kids for many years. Using that experience, along with research on how to foster brilliance in kids, I am creating something that may just make your child even more awesome than he/she already is!

My Approach
The CD that I am creating, Awareness Games for Kids, takes two approaches: 1) It uses body awareness exercises to open a child to his/her internal world (senses, emotions, etc) and  2) It takes them through visualizations that are geared toward kids, and that move them through experiences where their imaginations and creative thought processes are fostered and developed.

For example, in Explore Your Senses, I take kids from a place that is familiar to them, through places where they are exposed to vivid surroundings and sensory experiences. The idea is to develop a foundation, a positive connection to themselves, from which they feel unafraid to venture into new experiences. I will be speaking to kids in a language that they can understand and a tone that they find encouraging.

Do Our Kids Need This?
Our culture is putting less and less importance on the kind of learning that fosters creative thought and imagination. Funding to schools is decreasing and kids have more exposure to video games and TV, which dull their creative spark. Studies show that as American children grow from toddlers to adolescents, they exhibit less creativity, not more. Children need access, early on, to something different.

Kids also respond to great music that is geared toward them, so I have the help of four very gifted local musicians who will be creating the music that will form the background of each awareness game. The music will be simple, playful and engaging.

What Will I Do With The Money Raised?
I have been working on these audio recordings for over a year now, constantly testing them with kids in different environments. Four of the Awareness Games have almost been completed, while the other four are in the development stage.

I hope you would like to help me with this goal. It's been a dream of mine for many years to create a CD like this.

With your precious donations, I could have enough money to finish recording and editing the final four Awareness Games, to pay my graphic designer and musicians and to burn and print five hundred of the CD's.
