Repair Jacob Moon's Priceless Larivee Guitar!

A big HELLO to all Jacob Moon fans and specifically those that attended the Jacob Moon Guitar Workshop at Cedarview Alliance Church on May 7th, 2011.

This Rocket Hub project is to help pay for (hopefully completely!) the repair of Jacob Moon's prized acoustic guitar that was shattered at the Guitar Clinic.

We were all in a state of shock when poor Jacob dropped his prized Larivee acoustic guitar during the workshop.  The headstock was snapped off and the fretboard was separated from the neck up to about the 5th fret.

Jacob was such a gentleman and kept the clinic going with a smile.  Jacob's stop in Ottawa was one of many on a 10-day road trip Jacob was on across Eastern Canada, Quebec (his first gig in Montreal!) and NY.

We managed to find a Luthier to look at the guitar for Jacob at Lauzon Music (Ian...  Great guy) that was working that Saturday.

Ian managed to perform delicate surgery on the guitar and bring it back to life in time for Jacob to swing back through Ottawa a couple days later to pick it up and keep going on his tour.  The cost to repair the guitar was $252.00.

Rocket Hub projects cost about 8% of what you raise to use their service.  So I chose a target of $300 for the project so we can get the full amount of repairing the guitar into Jacob's hands as a "thanks" for being so giving of his time, and to help this independent artist continue doing the work we all benefit from so greatly.

With approx 35 people in attendance, if we all just give $10, we can hit the goal!  Jacob has no idea we are doing this...  So keep it a secret for now!

Whether you are a fan of Jacob Moon and want to help out, or attended the Clinic that day and want to help out...  Thanks and blessings for your consideration!

Sincerely,

Grant Anderson
