My roots started as a wee little child of 4 or so where I stood up at the end of a small town musical production of Alice in Wonderland saying "I want to do that."  Since then it was dance school and many theatre productions both big and small carrying me to Broadway and various Off-Broadway productions as well as commercials and films.

That's for the singing and performing, but songwriting came a touch later, maybe middle school; writing on the Yamaha keyboard that I still own and use to compose believe it or not.  My earliest influences came from listening to various artists like The Everly Brothers and Linda Rondstadt to 50's swing, John Denver, and anything that was laid heavy with harmony.  I found that even at 6 I was singing along to the radio in harmony, never melody... still do more often than not.  Now my influences are just anything I deem good which could mean a perfectly put together pop song, to indie music to the sound of silence, or the deep woods speaking.

I taught myself guitar somewhere in college just by pressing the strings baby, with no idea what I was doing.  I still have no idea what I'm doing only that I like it. Then I wrote and wrote to my little hearts content.

Other than that, I love dogs (perhaps too much), good vegan & raw food, wine, dancing at midnight in Nice, France, looking for the love in everything and learning to accept the things I can not change.  Hokey, but true.
