A Little About Me

Michelle was born in Quzhou, China.  One day after she was born, her birthmother placed her outside the orphanage with a note that said simply "Peace."  At 9 months, weighing a mere 12 pounds, she was adopted by her father and I.  While our marriage didn't last, our commitment to her did. 

When she was 5 we offered her a couple of choices for a sport to get active in.  She had only been pond skating a couple of times, but knew that this was what she wanted to do.  She has never wavered since.  She began a Learn to Skate class and was encouraged by her coach, Jill Mintz, to start regular lessons.  She began competing soon afterward.  She has taken numerous medals and trophies at various competitions throughout the state.  This year we will go to Regionals, and perhaps beyond.
