I am a sound engineer, new media artist, and freelance designer based in Toronto, Canada.
I’ve been designing websites on a freelance basis for 8 years now. I have worked with countless small businesses to establish their brand identity and set up an internet presence that accurately reflects their business’ mission statements. My work can be viewed representing clients such as YTV, CSI, The Toronto Alternative Process Photography Symposium, and many more.
As well as my skills as a visual designer, I am a passionate sound engineer. Whether it be recording FOLEY sound effects for videogames, composing music for film, or helping you navigate the technology required to record your own podcast, I am obsessed with anything that goes in our ears. I’ve worked with Mesmo Games, Heroic Interactive, The National Film Board of Canada and many other businesses to deliver professional caliber audio solutions. If you keep an eye out, you’ll often catch me running around the city with location sound gear, tinkering on bikes racks, capturing dog barks, etc…
My professional focus is sound, graphic and web design, but I spend my off hours experimenting with these mediums as well. I’m at my best with many creative outlets, so I tend to produce a lot of my own content outside my commercial work. Artistically I am primarily consumed by sound and installation art using half-broken electronics. In 2007 I spent the year exploring virtual environments from an artists perspective, which culminated in a project titled “Caerleon Isle – Toronto Virtual Art Symposium”; this featured real-time artistic collaboration between practising new media artists from around the globe.
