A Little About Me

Body Narratives Collective (BNC) is a Vancouver based performance collective with an interdisciplinary focus.  Co-directors Meghan Goodman and Julia Carr view the world through the lens of dance, but are committed to researching performance practices that integrate different artistic disciplines in order to discover something contemporary.  BNC is dedicated to the practice of performance as an art form involving research, creation, innovation, education and public presentation.

Meghan and Julia are both professional comtemporary dance artists who have worked with many of Vancouver's talented choreographers. Both started working with Aeriosa Dance Society as aerial dancers in January 2009; a company that specializes in dancing from heights on vertical sufraces with the assistance of mountain climbing equipment.

They are excited about the potential of taking their dance experience to new heights by dancing freely in the air without the need for a harness, belay device and rope.
