A Little About Me
Jeffrey P. Colin is a freelance writer, lives in Las Cruces, NM.
Jeffrey has been involved in multiple endeavors, from running an Arts-based Nonprofit Organization focused on creating economic opportunities for “at-risk” adults and youth, to spending time as a stay at home dad, to working as a Cryptolinguistic Specialist at the United States National Security Agency/Central Security Service while he was serving in the United States Air Force.
He is currently writing a book on what it means to be “poor” in the United States, based on his own first hand experiences over 51 years of life, and on his ongoing involvement with numerous poor Americans as he works to alleviate poverty via the Chimpzilla Project. He is also working on a documentary about poverty and homelessness in Los Angeles, and runs his own personal Blog.
He was also recently convinced to write a book called "The Mindful Guide to Socially and Environmentally Responsible Shopping" which will be completed by the end of August 2012.
