When I was younger I ran the streets and was involved in a gang. At the age of 15 I killed a person and at the age of 16 I was sent to the state penitentiary. I spent 16 long years there and learned that that is not the place I want to spend the rest of my life and never want to go back there. I found faith while I was there and I am bettering my life every day. I was released in January 2012 and by February 2012 I was hired and by April 2012 full time employed. I'm not going to lie. It is very hard to get a job being a felon. I have been turned down more times than I care to count but perservered. Times may get tough but I look back to where I was and I am grateful for the freedom I've been blessed to have. I will always remember that Prison Is Not Cool.
