A Little About Me

Hi, I'm David Collins. I own CnC Motorsports. I started drag racing when I was 15. Never really liked bracket racing, I likes heads up, but it cost too much for that.So I quit.

I started racing local dirt tracks. Don't let anyone tell ya racing is not a contact sport. It's nothing but a contact sport. I've been spun, hit, ran into the wall, knocked out once and took and airborne ride also. It sounds exciting and it is. And it's not as easy as it looks either.

I've also had the opurtunity to race in some SCCA road course races. I really enjoyed them. And was very successful too. But, my passion is for the asphalt high banked ovals

I currently race out our local Nashville Fairgrounds Raceway in Nashville, Tn. This track is home to such legends as Red Farmer, Richard Petty, the Allisons, Buddy Baker, Kasey Atwood, Bobby Hamilton sr. and Bobby jr. and Darrel Waltrip. This track has been around for over 114 years. IT was orignally a dirt track, flat, used for horse racing. Then it went to a dirt race track. All way before my time though. When it was paved, it helped to create those legends named above on it's 5/8 mile oval.

Because of those legends, that is my inspiration for wanting to race at this level and at this track.
