A Little About Me

Bill Holt was born in Philadelphia, now resides with wife Carole in Wilmington Delaware. Bill's career begins with ten years at 3M, then many years as successful entrepreneur, inventor, music composer, internet video artist.

After spending the next two years (and his life savings) making his first electronic music LP, Bill rejoined the traditional business world to support his family. (That LP eventually became an international cult classic.)
BIll went on to start anelectronic security company, then a manufacturing company based on his patented security switch inventions. Bill's security inventions carry the GE brand now.
In 1993, Bill sold that business, returning once again to his true love, experimental art and politics.
Excited by the future of internet video, Wilmington Studios was set up in 1995. A way to experiment with internet video, learn software, perfect video styles. FInally, broadband is ready. So is Dreamies.
The website http://www.dreamies.com came to be in 2004.
(The term "dreamies" was coined by famed sci-fi writer Isaac Asimov in a short story about a future where dreams transfer from one person to another.) Dreamies is now a registered trademark for Bill's movies and music.
In 1997, a 5GB hard drive for video cost $4500. A typical professional video editing workstation AVID or VideoCube cost close to $100,000. Bill invested a lot of money over the years preparing for the day when internet video distribution would go mainstream.
Until now, most of this experimental work at Wilmington Studios has been a labor of love with little interest in monetization. More like practicing for the coming new world of mobile video. Now it's here.
Presently, Bill is well positioned to make his Dreamies brand a commercial as well as artistic/political voice success.
