A Little About Me

In March of 2008, lifelong friends Dave Ahdoot and Ethan Fixell posted ads on Craigslist and YouTube, inviting pairs of girls to double date them. As the responses poured in, they began charting their experiences in a series of video blogs, which quickly became a YouTube comedy series about double dating.

Soon, the comedians had received thousands of emails from women across North America, and had embarked on over 200 double dates. Their crash-course education made them into bona fide Dating Experts who now employ horror-date reenactments, songs of love, interactive exercises, and instructive demonstrations as valuable lessons on how to attain the perfect evening.

As their online videos grew in popularity, Dave and Ethan began hosting their own monthly show at the People's Improv Theater in New York City, in which they divulge precious advice based on some of their best and worst dating experiences to consistently sold-out crowds. In addition, the two bachelors have shared the stage with comics such as Jim Gaffigan, Todd Barry, Christian Finnegan, Jim Norton, Anthony Jeselnik, and Amy Schumer at New York venues such as Gotham Comedy, Comix, Eastville Comedy, and the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. They have also performed at distinguished comedy festivals such as SketchFest NYC, Philadelphia’s DuoFest, and the Charleston Comedy Festival.

Most recently, Dave and Ethan have embarked on a national tour as “College Dating Coaches,” “educating” students at hundreds of schools across the country in the art of dating. They were voted 2012's Best Comedy Performers in Campus Activities Magazine.

Dave and Ethan have been featured on The Tonight Show, The Colbert Report, Bravo's The Millionaire Matchmaker, Comedy Central.com, truTV, and in The Onion, Time Out New York, and Revolt magazines.
