What’s the JoeStock Music Festival?
Labor Day Weekend 2012 marks the third year of the JoeStock Music Festival. It will be held over 3 days (August 31st, September 1st, and 2nd) at the historic Phil Welch Stadium in St. Joseph Mo. Over 26 eclectic acts will perform on the baseball field that once graced such sports legends as Mickey Mantle and Willie Mayes. The music festival is free admission for all ages. It is produced in conjunction with the Missouri Music Hall of Fame, The St. Joseph Music Foundation, and Saint Joseph Mustangs Organization
The performance line-up consists of international, national, regional, and local musicians with geographic and creative ties to the musical influences of Midwest artistry. Camping is available on and off-site of the stadium grounds. Food and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be available through concessions at the park. No coolers or outside containers will be allowed in. Phil Welch Stadium is non-smoking facility (smoking areas are made available).
Vending outlets (including food vendors) are available (contact Rick Mustean at 816-279-7856). Other sponsoring opportunities are available throughout the festival weekend.
About the Missouri Music Hall of Fame
Established in 2009, The Missouri Music Hall of Fame is a 501(c)(3) corporation that represents all genres of music and recognizes those who have contributed significantly to the State of Missouri through music. It aims to identify and preserve the ever-changing history of music in the State of Missouri and to educate its audiences.
About the St. Joseph Music Foundation
The St. Joseph Music Foundation was launched in St. Joseph Missouri, February, 2007 and incorporated in September of that year as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. The Foundation acts as a liaison between performing musicians of all styles and concert venue organizers including various community outreach activities.
