A Little About Me
Miss Makeyev is the Director and Founder of The Mermaid Islands Corp. She served as a Research Fisheries Biologist for the National Marine Fisheries Service, researched Fisheries Economics of Marine Protected Areas for her masters degree at the University of Rhode Island and holds a Bachelors from the University of California Santa Barbara. She has also enjoyed teaching science at the GK-12 and college levels prior to founding this organization.
