A Little About Me

I am a research and clinical psychologist at University of California, San Francisco and in private practice. I have been fascinated by the mind / body connection for as long as I can remember. In my research and my private practice, I am fascinated by the vast array of differences in how people cope with really tough situations and am deeply drawn to understand what contributes to emotional resilience. I’m very interested in exploring the different ways mobile technology can be used to reach people on a wide scale to help alleviate suffering.

In a previous career, I was a producer at National Public Radio and an Executive Producer at an Internet media company.  Being able to use mobile technology tools to create something tangible that can be used to directly help people is both deeply satisfying and tremendously exciting.

In my own life, dance is my big stress reliever. After a dance class, I feel like i can tackle just about anything.
