A Little About Me

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Pharmaceutical-Biology from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). My honor’s thesis was entitled “Optimization of an in vitro system for the maintenance of trematodes that parasitize the marine snail Cerithidea californica”.

I am now a PhD student in the Ecological Parasitology lab at the University of California, Santa Barbara. I am interested in extending the research I started as an undergrad, using the applications of the in vitrosystem to answer questions about the biology and ecology of these parasites.
