Clark SR AGV Collett has dedicated over two decades of her life completely to film production, having commenced when very young. ILLUMINATED is Clark's first feature production, and reflects a lifetime of work. Clark has several completed feature screenplays that she has written, and this feature is as well her opportunity to bring her productions to markets and festivals when ILLUMINATED is complete. Many people, the actors, Clark, the crew, have invested tremendously into this feature, and it is a dream and goal to see it comleted and seen.
A member of the Director’s Guild, Clark SR AGV Collett has over 770 days on the sets of major studios including, Dreamworks, Twentieth Century FOX, Warner Brothers, New Line Cinema, ABC, NBC/Universal, Insight, Disney, Sony Pictures, and Nickelodeon. Her experience includes work with green screen, SFX, stunt cranes, multiple animals, talent of many ages, car chases with camera rigs, to massive pyrotechnics, moving sets, aerial photography, on set publicity, etc. More than that Clark is an actor’s director, founding her technique through years of theatre directing spanning many theatrical eras, approaches, and writing.
Ms. Collett has several feature productions in development. I SMELL OSCAR have recently been completed in writing, THE UMPIRE and SUPERWOMAN are in their first draft, along with five other productions in development being, TIME, GOLD DIGGERS, X-MEN REBIRTH, THE RUNNER'S CODE, TV CREATURE COMFORTS. Clark produced, directed, and wrote the film ILLUMINATED. She co-produced, and D.O.P.ed, METRO and STRANGE MAN that are in post-production, and produced, directed, and wrote the films, THE HERMIT'S HUT, TIME, and PROTEGE OF GUCCI.
Founding VILLAGE on the MOVE Productions, mentored in bi-monthly one-on-one strategic business planning meetings, Clark developed a strong long-term vision for her work alongside Strategic Management Inc., which clients previously included, unions, banks, and the Department of Defense. Creating a compelling business plan, she secured financing offers from two banks for over $200,000. Part of the process has led Clark to research, familiarize, and live in most film center hubs, being Toronto, and for a year in each of Los Angeles, Montreal, Vancouver, and returning to Toronto, establishing relations and developing a sound foundation for the company.
Strengthening her screenwriting skills, Ms. Collett worked as an intensive development analyst for clients such as the screenwriter's Harold Greenberg FUND, and Alliance Atlantis. Receiving other observances and training, her first on-set experience was with David Cronenberg. Dodi Fayed as well took an early interest in adopting her work. IMAX cinematographer L. George, referred Clark to apprentice to director Jeno H. on the film Triplecross. Later, Clark was able to observe the AD department and director, Tim Story, on the Fantastic Four - R.O.T.S.S.
In its origins Clark produced and directed VILLAGE’s media projects for industries including, film, television, new media, new steel, plastics, new technologies, and educational, among them. Clark worked directly with Company CEOs, Presidents, and VPs, developing and delivering productions of various media and uses. As a young entrepreneur, she has received many media interviews from various publications, radio, internet, and television including The Hollywood Reporter, and CBC's "Venture".
Ms. Collett's family background is MacLean Highland bankers, Americans, and French Royalty that arrived in Canada in the 1600s. They founded mining giant Sudbury, Copper Cliff, and Lively, that is the birthplace of the Superman legacy. Clark cares greatly about the people in her family and is inspired by their efforts and achievements. They include an ambassador, a former councilor to the UN in NY, and an engineer that made first contact with an isolated tribe. Clark’s Aunt had Top Secret clearance in Aerospace, General Electric in California and worked on the first space missions, a Brigadier General for the army medical, a main framer on one of the first Intranets among others. Clark grew up independently in a world that shared rich insights, and remarkable storytelling, and has had a singular and sophisticated and challenging education. Moving forward, she has an individual visionary's approach towards breaking new ground with the productions she takes on.
Previous to this, Clark's education includes a four year BAA from Ryerson’s intensive Film Production Degree on Victoria. A five year Master's Graduation Diploma from Claude Watson's directing and acting intensive theatre program on Kenneth, Princess, and Empress. A one year graduate program as a Queen’s Park Paige for the Legislature’s only 33rd session, and is a ten year graduate of the Academy Program for the Gifted at Summit and Dublin Heights, that began and ended the years she was in it, while her father was Vice President for real estate giant GreyMac. She was as well an Olympic Torch Runner in Fort Langley for the 2010 Winter Olympics.
