What is RepairTech?
RepairTech is a start-up that is owned and operated by a team of Cal Poly students in San Luis Obispo, CA. We work to develop effective methods for repairing and diagnosing computers with our products: TechUSB and TechUSB Pro.
How we got started
After having worked as a repair tech for 7 years, Ian Alexander had put together an ordered checklist that he used on every computer repair regardless of the issue. He realized that he was wasting a lot of time waiting for each tool to finish before starting the next one, and thought he could automate the process. Yashar Bahman, Erik Sandberg, and Justin Culbertson offered to help create what evolved into today’s “TechUSB”, which won 1st place in a competition called Innovation Quest 2011, and since then we’ve been working to bring TechUSB to market.

A broken computer can be a frustrating and time consuming experience. We strive to enable anyone to easily diagnose and repair their own computer. Through the use of TechUSB and the resources available on our website, we hope to further empower and educate our customers about Computers and Computer Repairs.
