Danielle Gilbert

Danielle is an independent art curator based in Margate, Kent in the South East of England.

Originally from Australia, Danielle has followed her passion for Contemporary, Interactive and Performance art by completing a Master in Art Curatorship at the University of Sydney; a Bachelor of Arts in Design for Theatre and Television at Charles Sturt University, a Certificate in Art Curatorship at Central Saint Martin‟s College of Art and Design and has recently undertaken a four month Public Programmes Internship with Turner Contemporary, Margate.

Danielle has contributed to local, national and international arts societies, museums and galleries by working for and with Proud Galleries, London, Estorick Art Gallery, Islington, Fairfield City Museum and Gallery, Western Sydney and the Nicholson Museum, Sydney. Her time collaborating with art organisers, curators, managers, directors and artists has allowed her to obtain invaluable skills in arts management and exhibition design. Her latest exhibition/series of events was during April 2011 at Turner Contemporary were she now works as a Gallery Assistant.

Danielle also works as a Gallery Coordinator for Margate Gallery, Pie Factory Margate and received a notable Golden Key International Honour Society Award in 2005.
