SIMPLE BIOGRAPHY OF JANUARY WATCHMAN MVULA
January Watchman Mvula was born on 19th March, 1974 in a family of ten at Chididi Health Centre. He is the man behind the formation of Sustainable Rural Community Development Organisation. And the vision started in the year 2006 when he was working as a community Development Assistant in Chikhwawa where he learnt much on working with the communities. The first lessons he learnt is that the community is always ready to transform as far as their knowledge is applied in the process of transformation. The second lesson is that the community is a bank of knowledge and they know their problem well as well as the solution out to them but what they need is guidance. January currently is in his second year doing his Bachelor of Finance and Investment Analysis BFIA with Amity University in partnership with University of Malawi, Chancellor College under Pan-African E-Learning Project. Academically he attained his Advanced Diploma in Project Management with a credit with The Institute of Commercial Management in 2008. He also attained his Certificate in Community Development with a credit in 2004 at Magomero College. January did his primary education at Chididi, Mpatsa and Khulubvi Primary Schools and then started his form one at Chididi MCDE, form two at Livunzu MCDE where he attained his Junior Certificate of Education. Then he joined Zomba Urban MCDE for first term and from second term he joined Nsanje Secondary School where he attained his Malawi School Certificate of Education. In 2000 he joined the Ministry of Education as a teacher Trainee and was oriented at Blantyre Teachers College, he taught at Chididi Primary School and later on was transferred to Mpatsa Primary School. In 2002 he joined Magomero College as Community Development Worker Trainee in January 2005 he started working as a community development worker in Nsanje and later was transferred to Chikhwawa where he worked till 2009, 31st January when he resigned and Joined World Vision International as a Data Processing Officer. Before resignation January was studying with The Institute of Commercial Management for Advanced Diploma in Project Management from September, 2007 to September 2008. January is happily married to Jacqueline and they have Edith and Owen as daughter and son. January is a Born again Christian and he enjoys reading the Bible as well as Christian books. He enjoys spreading the Good news of Jesus Christ. In his free time January enjoys chatting with his family
