A Little About Me

I'm a grad student at UCSB in the lab of Steve Gaines, studying the global shipping trade by day, and writing code to help scientists at NCEAS by night, where I worked with Ben Halpern on mapping the human impacts to the oceans. I work with ecologists and geographers on using spatial problem solving to tackle large-scale problems, which I love. This summer, I'm going to Esri to work with Dawn Wright to improve the use of GIScience in the ocean. I like code, maps, and new ways of thinking about our environmental problems.
