We started September, 2011, a nonprofit corporation with a mission of feeding children and seniors free to cure and end hunger among us. The cure for hunger is food.
Our plan contains 4 steps to launch our new mission :
(1) File the IRS forms to obtain 501-c3 tax exempt status / puplic charity which cost $420 prep cost and $850 IRS fee cost if it is filled this year, its going to be higher next year. This form will allow us to apply and receive government grants and also receive donations from companies and people who requires a receipt back. IRS, will take up to 3 month or more to aprove it.
Meanwhile we are planning to support our mission by :
(2) Opening a thrift store that collect donations and sell it back, the profit will open some jobs between the community and the rest goes to fund the free meals to seniors and childern. This project business will cost about $50,000 which include all city fees and store rent, and utilties deposit, insurance, payroll, etc... and small inventory to start.
(3) On line sales of supplements that help some illness and provide wide information and resources to people, the site www.hope-2-cure.com needs to redesign accourding to our mission which will cost $5,000 and the products producer's lab requiring $15,000 for a small run, the profit from this site will go to support the free meals for seniors and children, also open some jobs to community.
(4) After we receive the IRS 501-c3 we will be able to apply for grants and other funds available to start locating the site for our kitchen and then go live with the food production to serve the needs for food among the community.
