Founder and Creative Director, Maia Andersen has over 15 years experience as creative director and apparel designer. She is a passionate entrepreneurial designer. In addition to numerous small start-up’s, Maia has directed and developed apparel collections for global brands such as Roxy/Quiksilver (stepping in when Roxy’s brand founder left the company), Oakley (launching its first women’s apparel & outerwear brand), and for The North Face (developing its first organic retail collection).
Technically trained,and sustainably acclaimed; Maia is one of few US designers accepted to show her collections at the Ethical Fashion Show in Paris, and Esthetica at London Fashion Week. Her experience hails from technical outwear and sustainable design, which she often equates to being equally challenging!
Maia has been designing sustainably for over 7 years, and has extensive knowlege in sustainable raw materials and process development. Maia has developed several custom “dye-free” textile colors.
