I am a professor at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, and I am a field biologist with a focus in conservation and ecology. My area of expertise is Southeast Asian birds. I have studied birds in rainforests and human-modified habitats in West Malaysia and Borneo (East Malaysia and Brunei) since 1998. I work with an incredible team of birders, biologists, tree climbers, and conservationists from the US and Malaysia.
