I am a a first year postdoc and a lecturer at San Jose State University. I completed my Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at University of California Santa Cruz, my M.S. in Electrical Engineering at San Jose State University, and my B.S. in Microbial Biotechnology at Rutgers University. My current interest is in combining the fields of Electrical Engineering and Biology. One of the great challenges to this is the development of instrumentation to study the interaction between electronics and living creatures. I am especially excited about the open source science movement. I think access to equipment should not be a barrier to doing great science, in any country, at any age.
