A Little About Me
My name is Chip Cochran, I have been obsessed with venomous snakes for as long as I can remember. This has led me to pursue a career in herpetology. My research interests range from the ecology and evolution of venomous species to their venom variation. A bite, from a southwestern speckled rattlesnake, to a friend of mine resulted in his blood being incoagulable for almost 3 days. This unfortunate event led to my graduate school project studying the intraspecific venom variation of the southwestern speckled rattlesnake (Crotalus mitchellii pyrrhus).
