After winning first prize in the ASCAP/Lilith Fair Songwriting Competition, I moved from my hometown of Erie, Pa. (famous for its beaches, the movie "That Thing You Do!" and pepperoni bread), to New York City, where I became a member of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop (Advanced).

My song "Perfect" (sung here by Mamie Parris) written with composer Barbara Anselmi for the musical IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU, will be included in a regional production this fall at George Street Playhouse in New Brunswick, N.J.
